Guided

Psalm 23v3 “He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

Let’s just meditate on three simple truths here:

• Guided – My life is not a random series of events, but I am guided by my Shepherd, Jesus. Think back over how He has guided you. Put your hand in His for the future and trust Him to do you good no matter how the situation looks.
• Righteousness – God leads you in paths which conform to His will and are therefore righteous. As we put our hand in His to guide, we will live a good, righteous life which pleases our God and Shepherd.
• For his name’s sake – God’s reputation depends, in part, on how He treats His people. If He is not faithful to them, God’s reputation is in tatters. You can be sure God is going to guide you in good paths because His own reputation is at stake.

I just need to trust my Lord enough to put my hand in His.
