Pastoral Leader with a view to becoming an Elder

This is a fantastic opportunity to build on the ground work laid in this small but growing Christ Central church.

Telford was described as one of the most godless towns in the UK in 2000: equal with Hull in how few attended church. So here is an awesome mission field with nearly 200,000 people and rapidly growing.

Hope Community Church meets in a well-appointed and extensive community centre. Immediately around where Hope meets, are housing estates: 700 homes have been built in the last 5 years and a further 2000 are planned in the next 10. In addition another 10,000 homes are planned within 3 miles in the same period.

Hope Church was planted in 2012 and has grown over the years to about 70 adherents with about 40 gathering on a Sunday morning. As it has grown so its ministry has evolved and now is the time to expand the team of Elders with a particular aim of improving its ministry to young families, younger people in the area and the new housing.

The role will be part of the senior leadership team with a focus on the young families and younger persons both in and around the church.

There is no deadline at present, but the church is open to recruit the right candidate as soon as available. The recruitment process will involve an interview with our church leaders, a weekend with the church, and discussions with your current church leaders as part of our mutual discernment.
